The Avenida de las Playas, with restaurants, bars and shops, runs parallel to the beach. The old port of Puerto del Carmen, with its fresh fish terraces next to the boats, is a short walk to the south. And Playa Chica, the best diving from Lanzarotespot, is also nearby.

However, from Playa Blanca you can also walk north along the coast, where the landscape becomes more volcanic and less built-up.
