San Isidro – Art and Nature at Los Cardones. A symbiosis, the union between art, nature, architecture, and respect for the environment, to conserve and preserve a unique cultural heritage for future generations.

This is the spirit with which the Los Cardones Sculpture Park of San Isidro (Granadilla de Abona) was born in Tenerife, belonging to the Gernot Huber Foundation. 80,000 square meters of art.

The estate has more than 100 sculptures, some of them monumental, made with materials from the island, such as stone and wood, and in some cases, steel and glass.

All the facilities are interconnected by a network of pathways over 2,000 meters long, in complete harmony with the surrounding environment. The works are situated around the founder’s residence, built with volcanic ash, which, true to the owner’s project, combines the old Canarian style with modern life and work, amidst wild nature, on a volcanic hill, surrounded by vegetation, and from where both Teide and Montaña Roja can be seen.

Many sculptures are kinetic, meaning they move with the wind. Undoubtedly, a spectacular way to create works of art. The park's goal is to provide a new cultural space intended for students and the general public, to bring people closer to art, as well as to create open days for the use and enjoyment of citizens.

The artist and sculptor Gernot Huber also has another park in Hamburg (Germany), unique in Europe regarding moving sculptures.
