Famara, the beach of Lanzarote in the municipality of Teguise, is experiencing an increase in tourists that is causing overcrowding problems.
The Teguise City Council, along with the Cabildo of Lanzarote, is seeking solutions to mitigate this situation.
According to the City Council in a statement, various possibilities are being studied, such as limiting access to the beach, implementing a summer schedule, or creating exclusive bathing areas for residents.
The possibility of expanding the promenade and building an underground parking lot is also being considered. Famara is a beach with white sand and crystal-clear water located in the municipality of Teguise, about 20 kilometers from Arrecife.
Its excellent climate and beautiful views make it one of the most popular beaches in Lanzarote. Due to the large influx of tourists, the beach is experiencing overcrowding problems.
