Las Marañuelas Beach,
Mogán. WEBCAM

Situated in a small fishing village called Arguineguín, in the municipality of Mogán, we find Playa de las Marañuelas.
A tourist paradise for the residents of the island of Gran Canaria who are well aware of its good climate that remains stable throughout the year.
That is why they do not hesitate to move from anywhere on the island to enjoy this wonderful enclave.
Playa de las Marañuelas has 400 metres of fine black volcanic sand and calm waters.
It is open to the ocean, but sheltered by one of the breakwaters of the fishing port, which provides protection against the tide and waves. It is a very quiet beach, ideal for families and lacks nothing.
Seen from the air it has the shape of a shell, and when the tide goes out it exposes a natural stone hill that houses an impressive marine ecosystem, so don’t forget your snorkel if you are one of those who like to enjoy marine life.
It is an inclusive beach thanks to its accesses, and very safe thanks to the vigilance of the emergency teams.
Arguineguín, Playa Las Marañuelas
It has toilets and showers to remove the salt after bathing and for very little we can rent a hammock and umbrella and is always spotless thanks to the cleaning service and the large number of bins on the beach.
If the plan is to stay and enjoy the day you have numerous restaurants and bars nearby where you can recharge your batteries and enjoy a good meal, after all it is an urban beach and the town centre of Arguineguín is just a few minutes walk away.
For this reason you will also find shops, boutiques, supermarkets, cash machines and anything else you might need.
If you’re in luck and you happen to coincide with the Festes del Carmen, which are held in honour of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of sailors, you may well not want to leave the town, as they have a programme of activities and traditional festivities that you won’t want to miss. Water attractions of all kinds for the youngest members of the family, maritime processions and the famous Bajada de La Rama.
