Este espacio muse\u00edstico se centra en mostrar la riqueza hist\u00f3rica de Fuerteventura, con especial \u00e9nfasis en el descubrimiento arqueol\u00f3gico del islote de Lobos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una de las exposiciones principales lleva por nombre <em>\u00abFuerteventura Arqueol\u00f3gica\u00bb <\/em>. En ella se narra c\u00f3mo el archipi\u00e9lago fue testigo del hallazgo romano entre los siglos I a.C. y I d.C., un hallazgo clave para entender las conexiones comerciales entre Canarias, \u00c1frica y Roma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este asentamiento romano del islote de Lobos destaca por el uso del molusco <em>murex <\/em>para obtener la famosa \u00abp\u00farpura get\u00falica\u00bb, un pigmento muy valorado en la antig\u00fcedad y exportado incluso hacia la capital del Imperio Romano. Su procedencia parece estar vinculada al norte de \u00c1frica, especialmente a las zonas que hoy corresponden a Mauritania y Marruecos occidental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adem\u00e1s del valor del colorante, los registros de la \u00e9poca de la conquista refieren una econom\u00eda basada en la ganader\u00eda, con quesos de gran calidad. Pero lo realmente revolucionario es que el hallazgo del islote de Lobos indica que los romanos trajeron consigo esclavos y trabajadores calificados, lo que implica una sociedad compleja y organizada ya antes de la llegada de los normandos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El nuevo Museo Arqueol\u00f3gico de Betancuria cuenta con una sala-laboratorio donde se muestran los procesos de restauraci\u00f3n en tiempo real. Esta iniciativa busca acercar al p\u00fablico los trabajos t\u00e9cnicos que se realizan sobre los hallazgos recientes del islote de Lobos. Los trabajos est\u00e1n siendo coordinados por el Museo de Tenerife, lo que refuerza la colaboraci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica entre instituciones
