Its major event of the year is the <strong>San Juan Bautista festivals<\/strong>, the patron saint of the municipality, celebrated in the second half of June, right at the end of spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-una-semana-de-fiesta-en-torno-a-san-juan\">A week of festivities around San Juan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program changes every year, but usually lasts around a week and combines tradition, music, and events for all ages. Here are some of the most anticipated moments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The pilgrimage<\/strong>: groups and folklore bands travel through the village and bring their offerings to the saint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Folklore festivals<\/strong>: in the plaza of Har\u00eda, groups from Lanzarote and other islands perform traditional dances like isas and fol\u00edas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Har\u00eda Awards<\/strong>: a recognition for residents, artisans, and producers of the municipality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Night of Fire<\/strong>: the eve of San Juan, June 23rd, traditionally celebrates the <strong>Burning of Facundo<\/strong>, with bonfires, fire dances, fireworks, and a street party.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The patron saint's day<\/strong>: on June 24th, there is a mass at the Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation, followed by a procession through the village streets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check the official program of the Har\u00eda Town Council each year, as dates and events may vary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-haria-cultura-todo-el-ano\">Har\u00eda, culture all year round<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you can't go in June, Har\u00eda has other cultural events throughout the year. On Saturday mornings, the plaza hosts the <strong>Har\u00eda market<\/strong>, featuring crafts and local products. The village also has the <strong>Casa-Museum of <a href=\"https:\/\/canariaslife.com\/en\/cesar-manrique\/\">C\u00e9sar Manrique<\/a><\/strong>, the house where the artist spent his last years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nearby are also the Mirador del R\u00edo, the Cueva de los Verdes, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/canariaslife.com\/en\/jameos-del-agua-nature-and-art\/\">Jameos del Agua<\/a>, so it's easy to combine the festival with a route through the north of the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2
