Located on the western slope, it is the sunniest area of the island. It is a huge volcanic crater covered in forests of <strong>Canary pine<\/strong>, with waterfalls, ravines, and spectacular viewpoints. It is <strong>World Heritage<\/strong> and one of the most impressive natural spaces of <strong>Canary Islands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most prominent trails are the <strong>Barranco de las Angustias<\/strong> (which crosses the heart of the Caldera), <strong>La Cumbrecita<\/strong> (panoramic viewpoint accessible by car, with prior reservation), and the ascent to <strong>Roque de los Muchachos<\/strong>, the highest point of <strong>La Palma<\/strong> at 2,426 meters. For 85 days, the lava covered part of the valley and reached the sea, permanently changing the landscape of the municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, the <strong>lava flows<\/strong> have become a new attraction for the municipality.
