Masca was once considered a refuge for pirates.
The area is famous for hikers, as it is possible to follow a path that winds through lush vegetation until you reach the cliffs of "Los Gigantes".

It is possible to book a guided excursion that will take you through the "Barranco de Masca" to Los Gigantes, where a boat will transport you to the nearby port.
