Sp\u00e4tere Ausgrabungen best\u00e4tigten etwas, das bis dahin nur vermutet wurde: Die R\u00f6mer kannten nicht nur die Kanaren, sondern lie\u00dfen sich dort nieder, wenn auch nur vor\u00fcbergehend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die St\u00e4tte, bekannt als <strong>Lobos 1<\/strong>, ist die erste dokumentierte r\u00f6mische Siedlung des Archipels. Sie datiert auf ungef\u00e4hr zwischen dem 1. Jahrhundert v. Chr. und dem 1. Jahrhundert n. Chr., zur Zeit des Kaisers Augustus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-taller-de-purpura\">Eine Purpurwerkstatt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lobos 1 war eine Werkstatt, die sich mit der Gewinnung von <strong>Purpur<\/strong>, dem teuersten Farbstoff der Antike, besch\u00e4ftigte, der aus Meeresmuscheln gewonnen wurde. Arch\u00e4ologen fanden gro\u00dfe Ansammlungen von Muschelschalen, \u00dcberreste von Feuerstellen, einen gepflasterten Boden, Keramiken und Metallgegenst\u00e4nde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alles deutet darauf hin, dass es sich um eine saisonale Ausbeutung handelte, die mit den Purpurwerkst\u00e4tten an der atlantischen K\u00fcste des antiken Mauretanien, im heutigen Marokko, und dem Handel mit der r\u00f6mischen Welt verbunden war. Es ist wahrscheinlich, dass diese Produktion mit der sogenannten \u201egetulischen Purpur\u201c in Zusammenhang steht, die von klassischen Autoren erw\u00e4hnt wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-las-excavaciones-continuan\">Die Ausgrabungen gehen weiter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Arbeiten werden in aufeinanderfolgenden Kampagnen durchgef\u00fchrt, die von dem Cabildo de Fuerteventura gef\u00f6rdert werden, mit Beteiligung des Museums f\u00fcr Natur und Arch\u00e4ologie von Teneriffa und der Universit\u00e4t La Laguna. In den letzten Kampagnen wurde dank des Georadars festgestellt, dass die r\u00f6mische Besiedlung \u00fcber die urspr\u00fcnglich ausgegrabene Zone hinausgeht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-visitar-lobos-y-betancuria\">Lobos und Betancuria besuchen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die kleine Insel Lobos ist ein gesch\u00fctzter Naturraum, der mit dem Boot von Corralejo aus erreicht wird, und f\u00fcr den ein vorheriger Genehmigungsantrag erforderlich ist.
